Eilidh Child sets sight on 4x400
The 26-year-old Scot ran 52.08 seconds in coming third at the Fanny Blankers Koen Games as Keshia Baker of the USA claimed victory.
However, the hurdles specialist wants to double up at the world championships with a place in Great Britain’s 4x400 relay squad and she is confident of staking her claim by going even quicker over the flat.

“But I would have liked a quicker time. It was quite windy but it definitely takes a couple of 400s to get going so I can’t complain.”
