Eight-goal rout confirms Kelburne as title winners

HOCKEY: Glynhill Kelburne went to Tayside, gave Menzieshill an eight-goal whipping and won their sixth Subway national league title in a row without dropping a single point in the campaign.

The champions were tentative at the start with the opener from Jonny Christie coming only five minutes before the interval.

But it was a different story in the second half, teenager Josh Cairns scoring with a drag flick at a penalty corner followed by a double from Chris Nelson. The remaining strikes came from Kenny Bain (2), Christie with his second and Alan Forsyth.
