Edinburgh University into League Cup semi

EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY reached the semi-finals of the East Seniors League Cup with a 2-0 win over Leith Athletic.

The second half was only three minutes old when Leith defender Steven Lynch hit a mis-timed pass-back to his goalkeeper and Colin Cameron nipped in to slot the opener past John Falconer from 14 yards. Mike Gray sealed the win in 70 minutes when he bulleted a header home after a superb piece of skill from James Craigen.

The Students now face Civil Service Strollers on Saturday.
