Winger Mark Reynolds led the way at Inverleith Park, bagging two tries that were backed up by further scores from fellow winger Tom Craven, second-row Mike Steel, prop Jean-Francois Goncet, and stand-off Chris Aitken. The latter also kicked four conversions.

The result leaves Northern nine points clear of rivals Leith with two and three matches to play respectively. Leith defeated Inverleith 33-10 at Academy Park while RDVC beat Liberton 36-7 and Queensferry lost out 26-17 at Walkerburn.

In RBS East One the season finished with a bang as champions Preston Lodge beat Lismore 102-6. It means that PL won all 18 league matches in 2011/12, scoring 975 points in the process. RBS East Two champions Dunbar also finished with a flourish, defeating Dalkeith 49-5. Broughton’s season ended on a low, losing 102-0 at Gala YM.
