Edinburgh Jets must beat struggling NUVOC

Edinburgh Jets must return to winning ways in the women’s Schelde Sports Scottish Volleyball League tomorrow if they are to revive their play-off hopes.

Last weekend’s narrow defeat by Su Ragazzi stalled their progress and they cannot afford another slip at home to relegation-troubled NUVOC tomorrow.

Ragazzi now hold a two-point lead over Jets as they sit fourth, occupying the final play-off berth but they can still be dislodged. Jets have conceded fewer sets than the Glasgow side this season which would prove vital if it all boils down to set difference.

Ragazzi have a tricky match at Aberdonia tomorrow with the Aberdeen side keen to make a late push for the play-offs.

It’s a big month for Jets who have a Scottish Cup quarter- final against lower division Glasgow International looming.

Elsewhere tomorrow, in the men’s First Division, City of Edinburgh will attempt to turn the heat up on leaders Troon Team Ayrshire by beating bottom-of-the-table South Ayrshire, who have not won a single set all season in the league.
