Edinburgh Accies 19 - 40 Dundee HSFP

A SIX-TRY haul gave Dundee HSFP a handsome win over Edinburgh Accies at Raeburn Place to maintain the Tayside team's position in the top four of the Scottish Hydro Premiership.

For Accies, who were missing ten of their first choice players, this was a defeat they needed to avoid and moreso in the light of results elsewhere in the capital. But despite a good first half performance there was little the Raeburn Place men could do to counter a classy display from Dundee.

Accies led 8-7 at half time with a try by Matt Coupar and a Ruaridh Bonner penalty to a try by Ross Lemon converted by James Fleming for Dundee. Gavin Douglas added to Accies' tally with two penalty goals early in the second half but thereafter it was Dundee who took control scoring tries by Cammy Ferguson, Fleming, James Clark, Lemon and Levison with Fleming succeeding with a further four conversion kicks.

An injury to Dundee centre Harry Duthie interrupted Dundee's scoring rhythm and it was left to Accies' flanker Tom Drennan to supply the final score of the game with an unconverted try in the corner.
