East Region guaranteed semi berth

THE East Region will have at least one representative in the semi-finals of this season's Emirates Scottish Junior Cup after Bo'ness United and Bonnyrigg Rose were drawn to play each other in the last eight.

In last night's draw, made on Real Radio, Bo'ness came out the hat first and will have home advantage against Alan Miller's side in a tie to be played on Saturday week.

The two teams met recently in the Super League at Newtown Park, where Bonnyrigg earned a 1-1 draw after going behind to Willie Newbigging's team. It will be a relief for Bo'ness to get home advantage in the last eight, having done it the hard way with wins at Yoker, Bellshill Athletic and Petershill so far in this season's competition.

Musselburgh also got the home tie they were looking for in the quarter-finals, with David McGlynn pleased, no doubt, that Kilbirnie Ladeside, rather than Auchinleck or Irvine Meadow, will be the visitors to Olivebank.

Draw: Bo'ness Utd v Bonnyrigg Rose; Dalry v Glenrothes or Kirkintilloch Rob Roy; Irvine Meadow v Auchinleck; Musselburgh v Kilbirnie Ladeside. Ties to be played on March 19 (2.30pm).
