East of Scotland: Cup final pairing decided

Spartans and Tynecastle will contest the Image Printers East of Scotland Qualifying Cup final.

Second-half goals from Chris Townsley, Gavin Malin and Ross Archibald eased Spartans into the final after Ryan McManus had netted for Selkirk. Tynecastle made the final with a 2-3 win away at Whitehill Welfare.

Stirling University moved to within a point of Spartans at the top of the Central Taxis Premier Division with a 6-0 demolition of Preston Athletic.

Edinburgh University maintained their third position with a 1-1 draw against Heriot Watt University, while Lothian Thistle edged a 3-2 win against Civil Service Strollers.

In the First Division, Gretna 2008 moved into second spot with a 7-2 rout of Kelso United.

In the King Cup, Leith Athletic overcame Berwick Rangers Reserves 1-0, Vale of Leithen scored with a late penalty to beat Easthouses Lily 3-2, and Eyemouth United defeated Peebles Rovers 1-0.
