Dr Deuchar's early call benefits Saints

ST JOHNSTONE striker Kenny Deuchar had to get off work early to star in last night's Active Nation Scottish Cup 3-0 win over Forfar.

The former Gretna striker, a qualified doctor, was instrumental in St Johnstone's win, scoring the opener and setting up Liam Craig for the first of his two goals. Deuchar explained: "I have to thank my boss at Wishaw hospital because I work there every Monday. With this game being rearranged she had to let me get off early, otherwise I wouldn't have made it."
