Divisions Two & Three round-up: Deuchar makes mark with debut treble for Livingston

DEBUTANT Kenny Deuchar scored a hat-trick as ten-man Livingston went top of the Second Division with a 4-2 victory at East Fife last night.

The home side took the lead after 19 minutes when Stevie Crawford scored from six yards but Deuchar equalised in 57 minutes. East Fife restored their lead with a Robert Sloan penalty four minutes later but Deuchar soon levelled things again.

Livingston had Michael O'Byrne dismissed for a two-footed lunge but goals from substitute Iain Russell and another from Deuchar secured an impressive win for the Lions.

Alloa's poor run continued as they lost 4-1 at bottom side Dumbarton. The home side took the lead on 14 minutes through Martin McNiff before Pat Walker slotted home the second from 10 yards and Derek Carcary nutmegged Steven Robertson for the third on 53 minutes. Billy Gibson pulled one back with a close-range strike three minutes later but Alloa's hopes were ended 10 minutes from time when Andy Geggins chipped in from 35 yards.

In the Third Division, a late double from Queen's Park captain Tony Quinn earned the Spiders a 2-1 win at Albion Rovers.

The home side had taken a 17th minute lead through Chris Boyle before Quinn netted twice in the last three minutes.
