Dickoh slams Hibs performance in Inverness

FRUSTRATED Francis Dickoh admitted that Hibs' performance against Inverness wouldn't have been good enough to beat any team in the SPL.

The Easter Road side lost out again in the Highlands, a hattrick from Adam Rooney consigning them to a 4-2 defeat and Ghanaian defender Dickoh conceded that the display had been far from good enough.

Twice Hibs hit back, through Derek Riordan and then a penalty from Liam Miller, but on both occasions they allowed Caley to move further in front within just a few minutes.

Dickoh felt that Hibs had been short on effort and that they started the match with the wrong mindset and said: "It was simply a bad effort. We have to look at ourselves in the mirror and straighten things out in time for this weekend because we wouldn't have beaten any team with that performance.

"We saw a lot of the ball but didn't do much with it, then their first strike at goal was into the net and from there it was uphill. I think there was the wrong mindset, we played only an 85 per cent game and that is not enough to beat Inverness, (or) any SPL team.

"We didn't show enough energy and we let ourselves down."

Hibs manager Colin Calderwood was disappointed with the result but felt that his players had shown spirit to fight their way back into the match after the break and said: "I didn't think that we played with any gusto in the first half and then when you give the goal away it adds to it all. Our thought process in terms of how we start a game needs to be much better.

"We showed terrific spirit in the second half, that was the commendable side of it, and I was really impressed by the way we got back into the game, but depressed about the way we let them get the next goal so quickly."
