Dick lifts Newlands Trophy with a 65

Allyn Dick (Kingsknowe) has added victory in this year's Newlands Trophy SGU Order of Merit 72-holer at Lanark to his golfing CV.

Prolific title winner Dick, the Scottish mid-amateur champion in 2005 and 2006 and winner of the Cameron Corbett Vase at Haggs Castle last year, took the event by three shots with a one-over-par total of 281, made up of rounds of 69, 77, 70 and a strong finale of 65.
