Di Resta’s need for speed

PAUL di Resta knows there is room for improvement as Force India refine an upgrade package they hope will propel them up the grid this weekend.

The Silverstone-based team have had to battle through the opening four races with a car lacking in performance.

With the team setting considerable store in a raft of new parts on the car, Di Resta could only finish 15th in practice for the Spanish Grand Prix, with team-mate Nico Hulkenberg tenth.

Di Resta said: “You just have to hope we drag more out of it (the new package) and a more aggressive selection will pay off. At the end of the day we’ve been behind some teams, so we need to make a step to get in front of them, and hopefully it will be enough. I certainly feel reasonable about things at the moment because it’s giving some performance.”
