Dettori the star turn at Hamilton

FRANKIE Dettori is the big draw at Hamilton Park tonight but will find himself in good company at a Braveheart Night fixture worth more than £100,000 in prize-money.

The 45,000 totepool Glasgow Stakes has attracted a competitive field of four quality horses headed up by Layali Al Andalus from the Godolphin stable and ridden by stable jockey Dettori. The field also includes Michael Bell's Admission, Mark Johnston's Corsica and George Moore's Take It To The Max.

Dettori will helicopter in from York to take up three rides during the evening starting with Tres Amigos in the 8,000 William Wallace sprint for David Nicholls, and completed with Tinaar for Gerard Butler in the Belstane Racing Stables Braveheart Handicap Stakes. That 40,000 Listed Handicap has attracted an eight-strong field full of quality. Lady Jane Digby heads the weights.
