Davies' masterclass benefits Caithness

KRYSTLE Caithness had a top ten finish in the UniCredit German Open yesterday – and enjoyed the bonus of playing alongside the new champion, England's Laura Davies.

Davies, still world-class at the age of 46, started the day tied with Caithness at four behind leader Ashleigh Simon and she surged to victory with a flawless final round of 68 for an 11 under par total.

It was her second title of the year – she won the New Zealand Open in February – her 40th victory on the Ladies' European Tour and her 74th worldwide.
