Darts: King rules league

MERVYN KING destroyed James Wade 8-1 as Premier League darts came to Ingliston for the first time last night.

On a riveting night in the Capital, Raymond van Barneveld and John Part played out a superb 7-7 draw, before Wayne Mardle and Terry Jenkins produced the same scoreline after a late surge from the former.

Phil Taylor was below par in the first half of his match with Jelle Klaasen but, after the Dutchman failed to take advantage, "The Power" produced his stunning best after the interval to win 8-2.
