Darryl Duffy faces further fortnight's absence

Hibs striker Darryl Duffy last night expressed his frustration after his long-awaited debut was again put on ice following an injury setback.

The luckless 26-year-old has yet to kick a ball for the Easter Road side since arriving on a season-long loan from Bristol Rovers at the end of August.

He broke his metatarsal ahead of the 1-1 draw with Inverness on 11 September. An X-ray on the foot last month gave him the all-clear to put him three weeks ahead of schedule in his recovery, and he could even have been in the frame for Saturday's home meeting with St Mirren.

But the former Scotland B has since endured problems at his heel after stepping up his re-hab and has required an injection, thereby prolonging his absence for another fortnight at least.
