Cycling: Endura finish with flourish

Riders from West-Lothian based cycling outfit Endura Racing Team capped a solid all round performance in the Tour of Britain with another fine effort in the eighth and final stage of the race in London.

Frenchman Alexandre Blain was the leading Endura finisher, crossing the line in tenth spot behind the German Andre Greipel (HTC-Columbia) who posted his third stage win of the event. And Jack Bauer, Rob Partridge, Iker Camano, James Moss and Capital rider Evan Oliphant all featured in the 52-strong bunch sprinting for the win.

Partridge ended the week as the leading Briton, occupying eighth place overall behind Swiss rider Michael Albasini (HTC-Columbia), the race winner, and ahead of a host of big names including Bradley Wiggins (Team Sky), while Endura proved that they can survive with the higher-profile teams by finishing eighth overall.
