Cycling: City quartet in gear with fund
Among those on the plan are established stars Callum Skinner – the current British senior champion – John Paul, who holds the Scottish title, and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Charline Joiner.
They are joined by Katie Archibald, who created a massive stir when she beat world junior road race champion Lucy Garner to win the British junior pursuit title in her first full year of racing.

Others who will benefit from the backing of the charity, which was set up more than a decade ago to help young Scots achieve their potential, are road riders Kayleigh Brogan and Eileen Roe, who formerly competed in the City of Edinburgh colours but are now signed to the Breast Cancer Charity Cycling team, and the Borderers Grant Ferguson and Lucy Grant.
Edinburgh Road Club will also receive funding to help develop youth and junior riders.
