Cycling: Camano joins Endura team

Lothians cycling outfit Endura Racing Team has strengthened its squad for the remainder of the season with the signing of the Spaniard Iker Camano.

His arrival enhances the international flavour of the Livingston-based team ahead of a busy racing schedule in the coming months. The 31-year-old brings a wealth of experience having been a professional for eight years, riding for teams including Saunier Duval, where he was a colleague of Scot David Millar. He has completed both the Tour de France, finishing 26th in 2004, and the Giro d'Italia.

Camano will make his debut for the team at the two-day Paris Correze road race in France early next month. He is also set to feature in the Tour of Britain in September.
