Curling: Campbell close to finals

Capital curler Colin Campbell and his team edged closer to a place in next month's Scottish Championship finals after a convincing win in Perth last night.

Campbell, David Edwards, Richard Woods and local skip Duncan Fernie beat Lockerbie's Scott Hamilton 6-4. Campbell and Co have now won four of their six qualifying games. There is still work to be done this weekend, however. They were set to continue their campaign today with matches against Jay McWilliam and Ewan MacDonald, and Allan Gillies tomorrow.
