Cup round-up: Joy of six after Livingston get scoreboard rolling

Rory Boulding claimed the distinction of netting the first goal in this season's Scottish Communities League Cup to set up Livingston's cruise to the second round.

Iain Russell quickly added another two before Keaghan Jacobs made it 4-0 by the interval from a Bobby Barr cross. Jason Talbot scored a comical fifth for Livingston midway through the second half after a slip by Hill.Marc McNulty, a substitute, came on to make it six and, to make matters worse for Arbroath, they had Steven Doris sent off after a rash challenge.

Falkirk eased through 4-2 at Albion Rovers but it took them time to gain the upper hand. Farid El Alaghi gave them a 15th-minute lead only for Scott Chaplain to equalise from the penalty spot. But Jay Fulton, El Alaghi again and Kallum Higginbotham all found the net in the second half before Chris Boyle's last-minute consolation.
