Crowd freezer

ST MIRREN manager Gus MacPherson has warned that the rest of the season is likely to throw up more games like Saturday's turgid goalless draw against Hamilton.

The match provided plenty of evidence for those who fear Scottish football is in terminal decline. Only 3,628 hardy fans turned up at St Mirren Park – 297 from Lanarkshire – to watch two of the SPL's struggling sides.

"You can see the way the games are at the moment and it's not just St Mirren, it's at most of the games I go and watch," said MacPherson.
