Wallace set for Scotland debut in CB40 finale

CRAIG Wallace is gearing up for his first Scotland appearance after being named in the squad to face Hampshire on Monday.

Cricket Scotland announced the squad for their final CB40 match yesterday. With Gregor Maiden unable to commit to extended tours due to his work commitments, the selectors have opted to look to the future, with former Scotland under-19 player Wallace selected to keep wicket at the Rose Bowl. The Forfarshire 21-year-old is also an attacking batsman.

The squad that will travel to Namibia in late September/early October for a tour that includes an Intercontinental Cup fixture was also named yesterday.
