Cricket: Marchmont duo's centuries keep team's promotion push on course

Marchmont were the main men in the East League on Saturday, two batsmen smashing centuries as they notched up 352-4 on the way to beating Freuchie to keep themselves in the Division Two promotion hunt.

Aaron Sardesai led the way with 130 in Fife and was backed up by 102 by Navin Chetty. Matt Loeffen also made 64 to help the side over 350 before he snapped up four wickets as the hosts were bowled out for just 121.

The 231-run win keeps Marchmont breathing down the necks of Murrayfield DAFs and Musselburgh as they all bid to get into the top flight for 2011.
