Cricket: Hairs helps to brush aside Uddingston with terrific 77

Teenager Oli Hairs continued to impress for Grange as he smashed 77 from 59 balls to lead them to a comfortable win over Uddingston and edge them closer to the SNCL Premier Division title.

After defeat to Clydesdale last week, the leaders knew it was imperative to get back to winning ways at Bothwell Castle and they did so with a clinical performance.

Seamer Giles Holmes and medium pacer Mike Powell took three wickets apiece as the usually dangerous Uddingston batting line-up were bowled out for just 116.
