Cricket: Butterworth back in Scots fold for CB40 double-header

SCOTLAND have made just one change to their squad as they gear up for their final two Clydesdale Bank 40 home fixtures of the campaign, against Leicestershire tomorrow and Hampshire on Sunday.

Both matches take place at Mannofield in Aberdeen, and Cricket Scotland announced yesterday that Luke Butterworth returns to the fold. In the only alteration from the squad that faced Warwickshire back in July, Stewart's Melville Royal High's professional George Worker makes way for the returning Tasmanian Butterworth, who had been called up for Australia A earlier in the season.

The Saltires will be going into the weekend matches with plenty of confidence following victories in their two previous CB40 fixtures, beating Northants by 12 runs and Warwickshire by four runs in the middle of last month.

Captain Gordon Drummond said: "It feels like a while since our last round of group games, but we have been keeping sharp with Scottish National Cricket League and warm-up matches, along with high intensity training sessions.

"I know the lads are eager to get back on the pitch and pull on the shirt again.

"Our last two games in the North-East brought good wins against the Netherlands. It has always a good pitch up there, and the support we receive is fantastic."
