Craig Bryson unmoved by Hearts talk

KILMARNOCK midfielder Craig Bryson is adamant he won't let speculation about his future disrupt his pre-season preparations.

The highly-rated midfielder was subject of a failed bid from Hearts last week and could yet be sold if the Tynecastle side or any of his other suitors meet an asking price in the region of 500,000.

But while acknowledging he is having to deal with an element of uncertainty, he is simply preparing for the likelihood that he will be leading out Kilmarnock for their SPL opener against champions Rangers next month.

Speaking ahead of Kilmarnock's friendly against Blackpool in the Joma Tournament in Devon said: "I just try and get on with it. Until Kilmarnock tell me a bid has been accepted, then it's not really up to me what happens. I just need to keep doing what I'm doing and concentrate on being ready for the start of the season with Kilmarnock. It's completely out of my hands. I need to just make sure my head's right for starting the season with Kilmarnock. There's obviously a wee bit uncertainty in a situation like this because I suppose a bid could come in any time, but I just try to block it out.

"I've been training as well as I can and enjoying being down in Devon with the boys. If something happens, it happens.

"If not, I'll just get on with it and enjoy the season with Kilmarnock and hopefully have another good season with Kilmarnock. The boys have been giving me plenty stick about all the speculation, but I'm not going into detail about what they're saying."

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock are close to finalising a deal with Welsh goalkeeper Kyle Letheren, who has been on trial with the club in Devon.
