Commonwealth Games: Ticketmaster official supplier

Ticketmaster has been appointed as the official provider of tickets for the Games, the largest multi-sport event Scotland has hosted.

• Tickets are to become available in August

• Ticketmaster sold over 10.9m tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Full details on tickets will be revealed in Glasgow later this month, including the range of prices for every sport across Games venues.

Athletics fans will be able to buy tickets online and over the phone when sales launch in August.

There will also be box-office outlets at venues during Games time from July 23 to August 3.

“It is incredibly important we have a services provider which can successfully meet our commitment to deliver outstanding Games with packed stadia and through a fair and simple ticketing strategy.

“Ticketmaster has a wealth of experience in delivering ticketing for major sporting events and we are looking forward to working with them in the months to come.”

Ticketmaster sold in excess of 10.9 million tickets for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

About 4,500 athletes from around the Commonwealth will compete in 17 sports over 11 days across Glasgow and beyond.

Events will take place at venues from the brand new Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome to Scotland’s national stadium, Hampden Park.
