Coltart two off pace on Challenge Tour

ANDREW Coltart is in contention at the halfway stage in the European Challenge Tour's Mugello Tuscany Open at Poggio dei Medici Golf Club.

Playing in the event after failing to secure a place in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, the former Ryder Cup player is just two shots off the pace after opening rounds of 69 and 68.

Jamie McLeary is two shots further back after following an opening 72 with a 67 but George Murray (142) was the only other Scot to make the cut, with Callum Macaulay being disqualified.
