Colin Nish 'not a meathead'

COLIN Nish will prove a hit at Hartlepool, according to his new manager Mick Wadsworth.

Nish was freed by Hibs at the end of last season and Wadsworth, who saw Nish up close during his time at Gretna, believes the 30-year-old can flourish. He said: "Colin has settled in very well. When I was at Gretna I always liked him. I just thought he was a good footballer, very mobile for a big guy and good in the air. As I say, not a meathead of a centre forward, a thinking man's centre forward. Whether he scores 10 or 20 goals, I'm not that bothered. But I think he is certainly going to help."
