Colin Calderwood hopes to have duo available

Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood hopes injury-hit Sean O'Hanlon and Martin Scott can play through the pain barrier against Inverness on Saturday.

O'Hanlon has been confirmed as suffering from a broken toe after limping out of his competitive debut against Celtic on Sunday. And Scott was added to Calderwood's worries for the trip north when he required six stitches in a leg wound picked up in the first-half of Tuesday's 2-0 friendly defeat against Blackpool.

However, Calderwood, who is already without Akpo Sodje, Sean Welsh and new signing Junior Agogo because of injury, is optimistic that the pair can grin and bear it - citing team-mate Lewis Stevenson, who received stitches in a facial cut before going on to play against Celtic 24 hours later. He said: "With Martin, it's a bit like Lewis, where there's stitches involved and there's going to be an element of pain. Sean O'Hanlon comes into that category as well, although he's got a broken toe.

"We've not discounted Sean and we'll see how Martin is Thursday and Friday. Most of the players would play through the pain barrier because they want to get into the team."
