City run riot as Coldstream collapse after break

BOTH sides went close early on, Coldstream keeper Walters having to push a low Harrison shot past the post while Crawford nudged the ball past Monteith only to see Bain clear off the line.

City went close again when the ball fell to McFarland but Walters did well to block his shot and the Streamers went close when Henderson's pass let Crawford through but Harrison blocked his shot.

But Coldstream suffered a blow just after the interval when the injured Walters had to be replaced by Callan. City opening the scoring in the 52nd minute as Caddow cut the ball back for debutant Howat to fire in to the top corner. City went two up as Stenhouse evaded the keeper and squeezed the ball home before Denholm got on the end of a cross to increase City's lead. Good work from Guthrie saw City go four up and the home side finished the contest with two late goals, the unmarked Caddow crashing a header in before Ross' cutback let Gair fire home City's sixth.
