Chunk award

Nobody has represented Edinburgh in the Heineken European Cup more than Allan Jacobsen, and the 33-year-old prop forward has just collected another accolade.

Jacobsen, along with colleague Phil Godman, is included in the latest “team of the week” compiled by the influential Planet Rugby website and based on last weekend’s results which included a 27-24 Edinburgh win at Racing Metro.

Jacobsen’s citation reads: “Chunk has been there or thereabouts in almost every game of Heineken Cup 2011-12 and did not buck that trend. Two challengers came in the sizeable shape of Tom Court (Ulster) and Cian Healy (Leinster).”
