Chris Iwelumo Burnley's hero after derby hat-trick

SCOTLAND and Burnley striker Chris Iwelumo continued his impressive start to the season by scoring a hat-trick in the Clarets' dramatic 4-3 Lancashire derby win against Preston North End.

Burnley trailed 3-1 before Iwelumo, who opened the scoring, netted twice more in the closing stages after Billy Jones' dismissal to complete his hat-trick before substitute Jay Rodriguez headed home the winner. Burnley manager Brian Laws said: "It was a great hat-trick from Chris."
