Celtic's Majstorovic sidelined by injury

CELTIC will look to rush through the signing of Nottingham Forest's Kelvin Wilson in time for Wednesday's visit of Hearts after Daniel Majstorovic was forced off with a hamstring strain during yesterday's win over Aberdeen.

The injury forced Neil Lennon to deploy full-back Charlie Mulgrew at centre-back. And with Glenn Loovens still sidelined and Jos Hooiveld on loan at Copenhagen, the absence of cover has left the Celtic manager in urgent need of a centre-back.

Wilson, signed on a pre-contract agreement from Forest a fortnight ago, is the most likely candidate. Celtic had a 400,000 bid rejected earlier this month they may now by prepared to up their offer.

"I'd imagine he (Majstorovic] will struggle for Wednesday, so we will have to speed things up now," Lennon said. "We have to try and get someone of that ilk in. I'd imagine that he (Wilson] will be one of the options."
