Canada set up dream US clash

CANADA set the stage for an explosive end to the Games by surviving a nail-biting 3-2 win over the Slovakian giantkillers, earning a date with the United States in the gold medal game.

Having led 3-0 with less than ten minutes to go, the Canadians were given a late scare but clung on. It will mark the second time in three Winter Games the North American rivals have clashed for the gold medal that hockey mad Canadians covet more than any other. "I think it is real special," said Team Canada coach Mike Babcock.
