Caithness hits form just at right time

Caithness started by dropping a shot at the first but then picked up three birdies on another day when thunder and lightning forced an interruption to play.

She finished on one over par and was tied for 11th place. But pride of place went to England's Melissa Reid, who had seven birdies and then eagled the 18th for a 65 and moved into the lead on eight under par.

Scot Lynn Kenny shot a 73 and was tied for 20th on six over par, while Ayrshire's Pamela Feggans hit an 82 and dropped to 11 over par.
