Burrell pleased despite loss

Craigroyston manager Jamie Burrell was delighted with his side despite losing 2-1 to a Hibs Under-19s XI.

Burrell said: "We worked hard, we focused really hard on keeping our shape and we did that well. I was pleased with our passing in the second half."

Hibs broke the deadlock when Craigroyston failed to clear from a corner. The ball landed to Phil Addison on the edge of the box and his powerful shot deflected into the back of the net.

Craigroyston had a chance to level from the penalty spot but Jordan McKenzie's shot was well saved. John Wright was next on the scoresheet when he got on the end of a cross and prodded home.

With ten minutes remaining, Craigroyston created an excellent passing move and their trialist fired the ball low into the corner.

Hibs manager Alastair Stevenson said: "This was a great, lively game, especially given the conditions."
