Buckie defence off to a good start with win

DEFENDER Mo Morrison insists less is more for Buckie Thistle as they attempt to defend their crown without a single summer signing.

Deveronvale were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Forres, but a solitary Neil Gauld goal gave Inverurie a home win against Lossiemouth. Nairn were comfortable 3-0 winners at home to Strathspey with a debut goal from striker Connor Gethins. Robbie Duncanson also hit a double for the Wee County. And Rothes shocked home side Turriff with a Kris Duncan winner, while Wick Academy and Clach drew 3-3. Huntly won 2-1 at Fort William.
