Bryson staying at Kilmarnock until 2013

KILMARNOCK forward Craig Bryson has signed a contract extension tying him to the club until the end of the 2012-13 season. The 22-year-old has scored three times this season for Jim Jefferies' men.

Bryson joined Kilmarnock in January 2007 and has netted seven goals in 41 appearances. He said: "It's a three-year extension to the deal that I am on just now. I really enjoy it at the club so I'm happy to be here and sign for that length of time.

"It was in my last contract that, after I had played a certain amount of games, it would be renegotiated. The gaffer took a chance on me from Clyde so it's good to repay him."

Kilmarnock may also take a chance on Irish midfielder Gary Deegan, who has been training with them in the hope of being given a contract, though his manager at Irish club Bohemians is urging the 21-year-old to stay with the League of Ireland champions for one more season.

Meanwhile, last Saturday's Clydesdale Bank Premier League fixture against Aberdeen – postponed because of a frozen pitch – will now be played on Tuesday, 13 January at 7.45pm.
