Brits warned over abusive gesture

SARACENS hooker Schalk Brits has been reprimanded and warned as to his future conduct by a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel.

The South Africa hooker pleaded guilty to making a foul and abusive gesture to the crowd as he was substituted during Saracens' 32-23 win at Leicester on 8 May.

The 28-year-old scored a late try to help Saracens beat Northampton on Sunday and put them into their first Guinness Premiership final. Brits was also ordered to pay 250 in costs but the RFU ruled the offence was not serious enough to merit a suspension.
