British backing for Wiggins rival

ALBERTO Contador's bid to hold off Bradley Wiggins and claim a third Tour de France title will be fuelled by a British company.

The 2007 and 2009 Tour champion will be given nutritional advice and use products produced by Science in Sport, who are based in Blackburn, while assisting with product development and testing.

Contador, who was only the fifth rider in history to win all three Grand Tours – of France, Italy and Spain – is the favourite to win the race, which begins on 3 July in Rotterdam.
