The 41-year-old, of Long Lane, Bawburgh, Norfolk, was listed to appear at Norwich Crown Court charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine following an investigation by The Sun newspaper.

However, the court heard he was unable to attend due to an “allergic reaction”.

Judge Stephen Holt ordered Hide to provide medical evidence by next week and adjourned the case until June 14.

Hide, who was given unconditional bail at an earlier hearing, is yet to enter a plea.
