Boxing: Anderson has green light on Quigley

Edinburgh's British super-middleweight title contender Kenny Anderson has been told by the British Boxing Board that he will definitely fight Tony Quigley in his final eliminator for the British 12-stone crown at the Bolton Arena on November 26.

The winner will clash with the victor of the British title scrap between champion Paul Smith of Liverpool and 2008 Olympic champion James DeGale in Liverpool on December 11.

DeGale is favourite to beat Smith but 2006 Commonwealth Games champion Anderson has a chance if he ends up facing him, according to his former Meadowbank ring coach, Peter Glass.
