BOWLSMixed emotions in hard-fought quarters

Hamilton Caledonian was not for the faint-hearted yesterday, with all four quarter-final matches of the Green Master National Mixed Pairs Championship going right to the wire before Cockenzie & Port Seton, Sighthill, Bearsden and London Road Foundry all booked their places in today’s semi-finals and final. Cockenzie & Port Seton beat Uphall Station and now meet Sighthill – victors over New Deer – in an all Lothian clash for a place in the final.

In the other half of the draw, London Road Foundry beat Fairlie and will now face Bearsden, conquerors of Thurso.
