Bowls: Darren Burnett takes Welsh title

SCOTLAND'S Darren Burnett has won his second World Bowls Tour title with success in the Gravells Welsh International Open, writes ANNE DUNWOODIE.

The 33-year-old Arbroath policeman needed a tie break in his semi-final against Australian Brett Wilkie.

In the other half of the draw, Nottingham's Simon Skelton eased past local favourite Robert Weale 10-5, 8-2.

In the final Burnett produced big finishes in each set to take the title 9-4, 9-5.
