Bowls: Cities & Counties gets under way
Dumfriesshire, East Lothian, Perth and Glasgow West are the early leaders as the Scottish Cities & Counties Championship started around the country at the week-end.
Dumfriesshire top the South Section, five shots ahead of defending champions Lanarkshire South after beating Renfrew South 127-107. Lanarkshire defeated Glasgow East 118-103 while Dumbarton East and Ayr South also finished with wins in their section.
East Lothian’s 120-103 win over West Fife put them top in the East Section while Glasgow West had the biggest win of the day defeating Stirling West 148-93 with Ayrshire North second in the West Section following a 128-83 win over Argyll & Bute.
