Bordeaux unhappy as Blanc chases France job

LAURENT Blanc appears set to be confirmed as Raymond Domenech's successor as France coach by the end of the month, but Bordeaux have made it clear they are willing to play hard ball over a compensation package before approving the deal.

Former Les Bleus defender Blanc stepped down as Bordeaux coach yesterday morning, making it clear as he did so that he intended to accept the offer from the France Football Federation to take the reins of the national team after this summer's World Cup.
