Boothroyd's short Coventry reign ends

Coventry have sacked manager Aidy Boothroyd after less than ten months in charge at the Ricoh Arena.

The Sky Blues have won just one of their last 16 games in the npower Championship to slip to 19th, seven points above the drop zone. Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Hull proved to be the final straw for the board.

Chief scout Andy Thorn and first-team coach Steve Harrison have been put in temporary charge of the team.
